Description

The ILUMINA project, focused on the cross-border regions of Extremadura and Alentejo, aims to promote sustainable tourism through the ornamental lighting of heritage elements. This initiative seeks to transform cultural, historical, and landscape resources into attractive nocturnal tourist products. ILUMINA focuses on increasing the appeal of night tourism, generating local economic opportunities, and fostering innovative and sustainable cultural tourism. Six pilot projects will be implemented in churches, hermitages, and castles, promoting cross-border cooperation and enhancing cultural heritage management through advanced technologies.
